New Pavement Marking Trucks and Highway Equipment

Custom Pavement Marking Trucks Built to Order

Highway Specialty Equipment builds production-ready pavement marking trucks designed to go to work. Our builds are based on proven platforms that balance performance, simplicity, and ease of use in the field.

Rather than starting from scratch on every build, we’ve developed equipment configurations that work; then apply select options and adjustments to better match your operation and job requirements.

With over 40 years of industry experience, we understand what contractors need from their equipment: reliability, straightforward operation, and consistent performance day in and day out.

Our divisions in Vermont and Montana support customers across the country, with nationwide delivery available on all builds.

Paint Trucks CDL & Non-CDL

We build both CDL and non-CDL paint trucks designed for reliable, consistent pavement marking operations.

Our non-CDL units are a practical option for contractors looking to operate without CDL requirements, while our CDL trucks offer increased capacity for higher volume projects. Both are built on proven platforms with layouts designed for straightforward operation and day-to-day usability.

Common features across our paint truck builds include:

  • Epic Solutions monitoring and timing systems
  • Integrated paint and bead systems
  • Onboard air compressor systems
  • Arrow boards and lighting packages for visibility and safety
  • Rear handgun setups for detail work

Our builds are designed to be easy to operate, maintain, and put to work, without unnecessary complexity.

Epoxy and Plural Component Trucks

Highway Specialty Equipment builds plural component trucks for epoxy and polyurea applications, designed to handle multi-component striping work efficiently and consistently.

Our trucks are based on standardized, field-proven configurations, with options available to match your material setup, color requirements, and application preferences.
Typical Configurations Include:

  • 2-color (white & yellow) or 3-color (white, yellow & black) systems
  • Material tanks sized for production striping operations
  • Dedicated bead systems
  • Integrated control systems, including Epic Solutions
  • Optional guidance and layout technology, including LimnTech Scientific

Our focus is on providing equipment that is straightforward to operate and practical in the field, without unnecessary complexity.

Attenuator Trucks

We also build truck-mounted attenuator (TMA) units used as shadow vehicles for roadway operations, providing an added level of safety on the job. Our attenuator trucks are configured to meet DOT requirements and jobsite safety needs, with practical layouts that support daily use in the field.
Typical Configurations Include:

  • Approved truck-mounted attenuator (TMA) systems
  • Arrow boards and lighting packages
  • Bed layouts designed for cone, sign, and tool storage
  • Setup options to align with DOT specifications and fleet standards

Our builds are designed to be functional, compliant, and ready for day-to-day operation.

What We Build

Not Sure Where to Start?

That is what we are here for. Our team has been building and configuring highway specialty equipment for over four decades, and we are happy to walk through your fleet situation, production goals, and budget to help you figure out the right path forward.

You can also combine a new build with our Upfits and Retrofits services. If you have an existing chassis or an older truck that still has life in it, we can modernize the systems, upgrade the technology, and bring it up to current standards rather than starting from scratch.

Why Build With Highway Specialty Equipment?

  • 40+ Years of Industry Experience: We have been building and configuring pavement marking trucks and highway specialty equipment longer than most of our competitors have been in business. That experience shows up in every build decision we make.
  • Built Around Your Operation: We do not sell trucks off a generic spec sheet. Every build starts with your workflow, your crew, your production targets, and your timeline.
  • Epic Monitoring and Timing Systems: Most of the trucks we build are outfitted with Epic Monitoring and Timing Systems to ensure you are hitting spec and taking the guesswork out of every pass.
  • Technologically Advanced Builds: From laser guidance and groove analyzers to camera systems and advanced lighting packages, we build trucks with the technology that makes your crew more productive and your results more consistent.
  • Coast to Coast Support: With our Vermont Division on the East Coast and our Montana Division on the West Coast, HSE supports contractors nationwide from quote through delivery.
  • One Partner for Trucks and Tooling: Beyond new builds, HSE also supplies Parts and Tooling for grooving and grinding operations, including PDC drums and cutting heads, PDC cutting teeth, and asphalt blades. If you want one partner for equipment and the wear components that keep it running, you are in the right place.
